The models were predicting heavy snow, ice & rain across the south central and south eastern United States. perihelion is tomorrow and the threat has vanished. Is there a connection? I think the Second half of winter gets rolling after January 4, 2025.
Second half of Winter after perihelion was the cornfusion.
October snowstorms in Idaho, Utah and Oregon were from volcanos from solar flares from planetary alignments. I saved pics/links of events all in chronological order for reference.
Longer days, further from the Sun both in small amounts per day.
Solar flares and volcanos changing weather patterns by the hour.
X and M class solar flares over Oz, S America and Africa today during perihelion in the heat of Summer. Protons now above alert level.
Mexico volcano erupted again this morning from flares changing the US forecast by the hour adding to US snow forecast.
African volcano erupted on the CME hit last week now in the cyclone off Boston gusting 124mph 5pm 1/4/’25 pulling the cold air down from Canada and adding to US snow totals forecast.
Cyclone now Off Nova Scotia 9am NY time gusting 90mph.
Another low pressure NE of Texas bringing warm air up the Mississippi River meeting the cold air being pulled down by the cyclone off SE Canada coast and it’s snowing mid West US in the convergence zone.
Low NE of Texas loaded with SO2 from Mexico volcano from solar flares.
High pressure over Winnipeg Canada, cold air heading South along the right side of the anticyclone into the US. -20f under the HP in Winnipeg. Windy showing 5F in Iowa Sunday 1/5/’25 at 9:30 am local time. Drops below zero F, North of Iowa. Just South of there in Texas it’s 66F at the low pressure warm front. 78F S Texas to -20 N in Wpeg. 100 degree span. 50F ‘ere NW US today, no rain.
Winter can be defined in 2 different ways. In some countries, including the UK, winter is classed as December, January and February (metrological winter). In other countries, including the US, winter is the period between the winter solstice, normally 21 Dec and the spring equinox, normally the 21 March (Astronomical winter). Using the metrological definition of winter we are indeed approaching mid winter.
Hi Cap,
Just caught up after being weeks behind because of a severe injury.
Hope you & family had a Merry Christmas.
But best wishes to you for a very happy & prosperous New Year.
And to every one on here, even those pesky comment readers who love to disagree without reading the items, may you all have a safe and prosperous New Year.

The only reason I can think of why the desolation narative continues is to “store” the ‘
co2 then release it into “greenhouses” so we must BUY that food that probably has “vaccines” in it. Just my paranoia getting out.
Conclusion:
“So here we are, suspended up in the air, [like Wile E. Coyote] and nobody seems to realize that we will shortly crash to earth. Everybody involved is trying to milk the last dollars out of the taxpayers before the crash hits.”
Well, as I am heading to Hakuba for skiing, I am certainly pleased about the fine snowfalls in Japan. What I want to know is why the Northern Hemisphere Snow index is looking so flacid. There must be a lot of warm spots not enjoying this winter bounty.
Greening of the planet with increased carbon dioxide is definitely beneficial.
For every ton of carbon dioxide absorbed by plants, almost 3/4 ton of oxygen is produced.
That is an additional benefit I would say.
I’m not questioning Cap’s excellent reporting of near record snowfall but looking at http://www.cryospherewatch.org/snow-solid-precipitation/ the global data sets show well below average snow and the data for Japan doesn’t indicate the massive depths enjoyed by most ski resorts. Is this a case of data tampering by organisations that believe in AGW and that snow should be increasingly less common?
Blizzard warnings now from Kansas into North Missouri – winter storm warnings elsewhere into West Virginia and Maryland. Also mixed precip today for the southern Appalachians. Nice start for January!
We got off pretty easy in Central Missouri. They were predicting the Mother of all ice storms. We got a few inches of snow, but there’s a layer of ice crystals beneath it. I think it was freezing rain. It stuck the dogs’ dishes to the porch, so I assume it was wetter to begin with, then froze solid when the temps dropped.
So I need to break out the ice melt if I want to take my trash out, lol. It’s not not going to melt off anytime soon. I’m set for a couple of weeks, at least, assuming the power doesn’t go off more than 4-5 days.
Typo: “941 cm (370.4 feet)”

Winter doesn’t start til December 21.
Deb calendar winter starts on December 21, but I was our west in Idaho & Utah running from snow storms in October.

So in Idaho and Utah it snows in Autumn.

Protons and electrons at alert levels on Sunday from flares: Cosmic rays still lowest in 21 years showing not in solar minimum which is years away. 12 sunspots now, more solar flares forecast.

Thank you, Matt, for clarifying that. I stand corrected.

God is going to build a new world for those of us who are smart enough to follow Him. It will probably have plenty of CO2.
Mr. Cap,

370 feet of snow is impressive…but also excessive.
Should be more like 30 feet.
Welcome back and Happy New Year!

940 cm is 30 ft, not 370 ft.
